I have had good results with Loomis, I have not bought any since Shimano took over the place. I don't know if anything has changed in quality. My geuss is they will change something that will down grade thier service and quality, too bad if it happens. I have a few lamis and they are good too, but I fish the loomis rods more. WD1

If you buy loomis, make sure it is atleast an IMX quality. Otherwise save some money and buy a rainshadow.

I have one Loomis laying around collecting dust. Its a GL2 HSR1023C 8'6" rated for 12 to 25 lb line. Since I went to Allstar Ive sold almost all my Loomis rods.
Speaking of Allstar you can pick one of those up at a really good price at Sprtsman Wharehouse.
