Just got back from a shad/oversized sturgeon trip today. I will report to you that there are still plenty/plenty of both out there. Shad was way hotter then I thought it would be. Triples were common. I still needed to get more males for bait. 2/3rds were female we got about 25 shad in 20 minutes for 3 rods in 9 feet of water off the shad rack. We then hooked 4 oversized in 6 hours.
