Ok Guys! Now that the mid river is closed! ::)When do all of you guys head to the coast! I start in april down at astoria area myself!  That is in beween fishing for salmon in the upper rivers! But my question to all is when are you going! ;D.....shakerfish!....  |

Well, am gonna go when they open it back up for Sturgeon fishing . Go and bank fish the church hole. So that will be when? June 1? I sure love that hole down there. |

I think it just opened up at the coast on the 25th? So you can go any time mike! Thats what I heard! I hope i got it right this time! ;D I think its open till the 1st of july!....shakerfish!.... |

I don't go tell all the Salmon and Steelhead are out of the metro area. ;D If and when I do normally go is in June, July. It is good other times too. I just have trouble driving 200 miles a day when there are fish next door.

I agree with dan. im completely with you. its nice to go and if you limit out on salmon to go and just chill back with some buddies and sturgeon fish tho. if you are board and dont feel like goin back yet. you can just anchor up and fish sturgeon so thats a plus but i agree more with you dan!

Mike,
i like the church hole to. i have seen people launch aluminum drift boats over the side around there and just hop in and go out in whats about a five minute run and anchor up and just sit and sturgeon fish. kinda weird but kewl at the same time

Yes sir! thats just what I was telling ya!  And this time of year they really like sand shrimp! But the crabs do too so you might want to buy 2 boxs! ;D And alot of string! Good luck!....shakerfish!..... |

Yep, am going down. Don't care if am the only person there. Am fishing all day long. I'll be fishing it when the tide is going out, coming in, and slack tide. I should be able to pick up a few fish. If only one can be a fat 58 incher I'll be happy |
