OK, those of you that know me well know I like to joke around and have fun. So I am going to tell you a little story about the funny guide and the lost clients. It goes a little something like this.


A couple weeks ago I get a call on the business line. I answer the phone

"Quality Fishing Adventures."

The guy says

"are you a fishing guide"?

This just kind of made me think duh. So what's the first thing that came to my head. My answer to him was

"No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night"

what do I hear?

CLICK.

Oops, maybe this guy didn't have a sense of humor. Oh well, I lost a couple clients, But my guess is that it would have been a very fun trip anyway.

I like to have a lot of good clean fun on my trips. I am not a sit back and not talk much type of guy. I like to make my trips a good time for all, and a time to remember between fish also. But I will never answer that question like that again. I could say

"Yep, I am the only freshwater alligator guide in Oregon.

Well, maybe not. ;D

Yep, an all day fishing trip with clients with no sense of humor what-so-ever would have been one heck of a long day!

Me personally, I would have jumped at the chance to have someone that stayed at a Holiday Inn Express for a fishing guide!!!! I can't believe that guy didn't.
