I was taught this by a local guy who fishes the clack mostly. I have found this rig to be deadly, it produces 80% of my fish.
Whatever type of leader you want, 36'' or so to a #1 owner needle point.
Slide the smallest cheater you can find down the line to the hook (fat side down). I like reg or green or pink of...you get the idea switch till you get it right.
Then using a bait threader thread on a 3 1/2 in "seducer" flat tail worm, but don't thread the tail on the line leave it hanging (IMPORTANT)
you should have a worm upside down on a cheater with a hook dangling off the bottom and the worms tail hanging off the leader (get it?)
Drift fish this for GREAT results.

ok ok here's one for all to laugh at but i'll tell you it works great use gummie worms the red ones for summer steelhead and fall chinook with shrimp but use about 1" of one .Laugh now non believers but it works ;D

Chris, the pink worms do work. You can drift them or you can float them under your bobber. Try them when no one is getting anything but you know there has to be fish in the river. See, I never use them cause my eggs catch fish all the time!
