Has anyone ever built a wood "Drift Boat"?

I'm fairly handy with wood working and have been toying with the idea of building a driftboat. I'm not thoroughly convinced that it's any cheaper than buying one, but that's not my motivation. I'd like to drift one that I built myself.

Have any of you ever done this?

Ink-Fish i'm replying to an old post but anyway i built my first and i loved it took about a week with two of us , had the drift boat for about nine years , beutiful but lots of up keep.
