I think im going to need a kicker motor pretty soon. Is there anyone here that has any experiance with Nissan outboards? Are they any good??Cabelas carrys them for a pretty fair price.

Hi Duroboat, I had a tohatsu motor for nine years which is the same as the nissan. IT has been a very good trouble free and reliable motor for me all them years. ;D From what I heard they are also now making the smaller merc motors too. I have a 96' 8hp Mariner Longshaft if your interested email me. I should post it up in the classified. Smily

Smily, Thanks for the information and the mariner offer but I need a 4 stroke motor so I can run it off the main tank.

That's cool Duroboat, I just picked up my new to me boat that came with a 4 stroke kicker and don't need a 2 stroker anymore. Mine also came with another 3 gal tank so ther is 2 independent systems on board which some people value. Incase say the gas tank goes bad or runs out. Maybe there are other reasons out there also. Yamaha is doing very well. Mercury is also. Many marinas are stocking parts for both units. Never buy anything rare or not to often seen.
